How much does IELTS preparation at Exam Madrid cost?
The semi-intensive course is €299 for 16 hours over 4 weeks; the intensive course is €430 for 24 hours over 4 weeks. Private tuition costs €40 per hour. There is no enrolment fee. Official test registration is arranged and paid for separately with the test provider.
Do you prepare students for Academic and General Training?
Yes. We prepare both versions. Listening and Speaking are the same, while Reading and Writing differ. Share the requirement from the organisation asking for IELTS so we can discuss the appropriate preparation.
How long will it take to reach my target score?
That depends on your starting level, the score needed in each skill and your time for practice. The four-week course describes its schedule; it does not guarantee a particular band score. We review your starting point and deadline before recommending a format.
Can I prepare for IELTS online?
Yes. We offer online preparation as well as classroom courses in Madrid. Studying online is separate from taking the IELTS Online test. If you want to take your test from home, check that your receiving institution accepts that test format.
What IELTS score does my university require?
Each university and programme sets its own requirement. This may include an overall score and minimum scores in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Check the published requirement for your application and share it with us; no single score guarantees admission.
How is the overall IELTS band score calculated?
IELTS uses a scale from 0 to 9. The overall score is the average of the four skill scores, rounded to the nearest half band. Meeting the overall target does not replace any minimum skill scores required by your institution.
Where do I book the official IELTS test?
Book through an authorised IELTS provider or test centre. Check its dates, fees, venue, format and identification requirements before booking. Enrolling on our preparation course does not register you for the official test.
Is IELTS taken on paper or computer?
Confirm the format of your session with the test provider. British Council Spain states that its IELTS tests have been computer-delivered since 1 July 2026. Our preparation covers the tasks and time management with your chosen test format in mind.
